As an independent author I wear the hats of writer, editor, publisher and technology guru. Many months ago I invested in the Adobe Creative Suite, Master Edition to control all my digital publishing and future printer submission needs. One of the biggest aspects of this journey is to create and maintain my own website utilizing Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5. Dreamweaver is an HTML editor. You can use this software to create pages almost as if you were using a word processor. If you want to take your knowledge to the next level you can also code HTML5. As a matter of fact, knowledge of HTML5 is essential as mobile devices no longer require plug-ins like Adobe Flash.
So, I wanted to provide my current and prospective readers with an enhanced website which they can follow along with my stories. As part of that enhancement quest, there are audio files that can be played over your browser of choice so that you can hear the pronunciation of my characters and places.

Finally, you save your file in Dreamweaver and “put” both the html file and the audio files to your web server. Then you test the page and the audio, along with friends, readers or fellow authors.
